A delegation from a distant country arrived at ICS. They had traveled for days to study the model, to replicate it in their own land. They toured the workshops, sat in on The Silence, studied the Eternal Loaf archive. They took copious notes, filmed everything, interviewed every elder they could find.

At the end of their visit, they announced their plan: to build a replica—identical classrooms, identical curriculum, identical certificates. They had the funding, the land, the government approval.

The faculty gathered to bid them farewell. But before they left, Kira, now ninety-five and barely able to speak, asked for a moment.

"You have studied us carefully," she said. "But you have missed the most important thing."

The delegation leaned forward.

"Our school," Kira said, "never opened. It was never planned. It grew from a flooded warehouse, a repaired oven, a student who could not afford to leave her job. The buildings came later. The curriculum came later. The certificates came last."
